The Big Bang Fair South East
On Wednesday this week our older pupils visited the ‘Big Bang Fair’. Around 6,000 pupils from a wide range of schools visited the South East Showground in Ardingly to participate in a day of practical learning focussed on Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM). Pupils had the opportunity to participate in various experiments involving water, cars and tractors as well as one particular stall that allowed pupils to put a skewer through a balloon, without bursting it! In the afternoon the children watched a Science Magic show, which by all accounts was enthralling. Unsurprisingly I understand that our pupils found the whole day to be a fascinating experience.
