Therapy Assistant

Here at Brantridge School we have two Therapy Assistants, Ella and Evelyn.

After students have been assessed, the SaLT and the OT set targets and create an intervention plan. We work under the guidance of the SaLT and the OT to carry out interventions and support students to reach these targets. We can work with students on a 1:1, in pairs, small groups, or even with whole classes. Ella can also offer Lego Therapy which is in done in small groups.

In our sessions we can support students with a variety of skills, such as:

· Emotional literacy and regulation

· Attention and listening skills

· Understanding and use of language

· Sensory Circuits

· Fine and Gross Motor skills

· Handwriting
