Sports Day Fun
Well done to everyone who took part in our Sports Day; it was lovely to see everyone supporting their teammates and trying their hardest. It was a lovely fun way to end the term and a great chance for parents and carers to come into school, talk to teachers and get to know other families in the school.
There were a number of activities including an obstacle course on the football pitch with tricky stilts to negotiate before shooting on target. Pupils also took part in jumping challenge, relay races and an egg and spoon race. A few parents also joined in with the wellie throwing challenge and the water relay, where teams competed to fill a bottle of water from a saturated mop head.
After the sports there was a chance to buy some of Blake’s delicious cakes, browse the second hand books or spend some money on a skipping rope or bouncy ball, all to raise money for the school fund. There was also an impromptu football match. All in all a great fun way to end the term before breaking up for the summer holiday.
