Football Success

Well done to our football team who have been enjoying playing against teams from other schools this term. They attended training sessions led by one of our Teaching Assistants, Joe Kay and it was great to see their enthusiasm in the training, and participating in various drills.

The team has played in two tournaments and the boys were delighted to reach the final of one of the competitions. These tournaments, organised by Brighton and Hove Albion football club for Special Needs Schools in the locality, were a regular fixture before the pandemic and we are pleased that they have started up again.

The boys have also played a couple of matches against St Mark’s, the local Primary School in the village. Staff supporting these teams spoke with pride about the pupil’s attitude and how it has been a hugely positive experience to represent the school. It has been a real highlight for them to be able to play football against other local teams.
