Cuckmere Haven Trip
On Monday 17th October Orwell and Zephaniah class brought their study of coastal erosion to life by visiting Cuckmere Haven. This site has some great examples of meanders and ox bow lakes which the boys were quick to pick up on.
The River Cuckmere is a tidal river which drains into the English Channel, so we were able to enjoy packed lunches on the beach at Cuckmere Haven before completing the walk back along the river to the minibus.
All boys completed the three-mile round trip along the river path and most of our party were in good spirits all day. It was a memorable outing, and we look forward to more off-site active learning throughout the year.
