Chicken Run

Classes have been taking it in turns to feed and look after the latest addition to the Brantridge School grounds. The eight chickens who normally live on Tom’s Farm at Nightingale Community Academy in Wandsworth, have been taking a holiday with us at Brantridge to enjoy the fresh air and open spaces of the Sussex Weald.

Our guests have been paying for their keep in eggs which the children collect and use in their cooking lessons. They are proving very popular with the pupils and helping everyone appreciate where their food comes from.

The communication between home and school is excellent.
