Brantridge School are Adopting Words in Support of The Samaritans
Why The Samaritans?
Staff at Brantridge School have chosen The Samaritans as charity of the year for 2024/25. There is a programme of fundraising activities planned to reach the £1,000 target that we agreed.
Staff voted for this charity at the September Inset day as people were passionate about the impact this organisation has in supporting people at their lowest ebb. If the £1,000 target is reached this year this will enable The Samaritans to train 7 new volunteers who will potentially save many, many lives.
Everyone Will Be Famous For 15 Minutes…
The first fundraising activity will be called Adopt-A-Word. On Friday November 8th staff will choose a word to “adopt” and make a short video outlining why they have chosen that word. For example: a teacher may choose “snow day” as a favourite word to hear in the winter months etc…
These pieces to camera will be captured by a pro videographer to go on the Brantridge website and be shared with family and friends on their social media channels with a call to action to donate to the school’s Just Giving page.
If you would like to donate to this life-saving charity please visit the Brantridge School Samaritans Just Giving page happen to be connected to a Brantridge person on social media please do give generously.
