ASDAN Life Skills Awards
On Friday 31st March Year 7 gathered to celebrate the boys’ achievements on the newly launched ASDAN Life Skills Challenge programme. Ms Harry (Deputy Principal) invited the boys for a celebratory certificate presentation where tea and cake was served.
The Life Skills Challenge enables students to widen the scope of their learning by applying a range of skills to challenges in the classroom and out in the community. It is a fabulous way of developing practical skills and gaining real life experiences.
To date our Year 7 boys have earned ASDAN certificates on completion of the following challenges: learning about the culture of another country, making objects from wood, making objects from clay, and climbing at a climbing wall. In summer term we will be focusing on challenges that develop navigation skills and outdoor pursuits.
